Admission criteria

QUALIFICATIONS NECESSARY for ENTRANCE to the ENGLISH PROGRAM at the POMERANIAN MEDICAL UNIVERSITY

2010/2011

We attempt to identify the best qualified applicants from diverse academic and personal backgrounds.
Admission is based on the following requirements:

(1) Each candidate need to submit a high school diploma/certificate or matriculation diploma equivalent of such standard, which is required to enter a medical university in the country of their origin.

(2) Each candidate is expected to prove their education in the following subjects:

- chemistry (obligatory)

- biology or physics

(3) to be preferably under 27 years of age.

(4) The candidate cannot have a Polish citizenship.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED in ENGLISH
(Originals or certified true copies)

(1) Complete application form.

(2) An accurate English translation of a High (secondary) school certificate or matriculation diploma equivalent, certified by a sworn translator (Notarius Publicus) or by your school (Original or certified true copy).

(3) A copy of a High (secondary) school certificate or matriculation diploma equivalent in your native language certified by Notarius Publicus or by your school (Original or certified true copy).

(4) School certification to be filled in by the high school you have graduated from: School certification

(5) Medical certificates: Health Certificate completed by your doctor, Chest X-ray report (accepted on health certificate), Vaccination card (Hepatitus virus B is required).

(6) Birth certificate (original from Tax office, church or certified true copy).

(7) Passport photocopy (as a proof of citizenship).

(8) Six passport-size photographs (3.5 × 4.5 cm) signed at the back.

(9) Two photocopies of the applicant's health insurance.

(10) Any documents which can prove your medicine-related experience can be attached to the application.

(11) An application fee is 50 EUR and the proof of payment need to be enclosed in your application. The EUR bank details can be found here.

Deadline for delivering the documentation is July 31st.

The evaluation process starts soon after an application is complete. Since we screen each applicant individually, the process may take from several weeks to a couple of months. We go by date of completion and there are a large number of applications. Patience is of the essence.
